To Aunt Michelle:

Aunt Michelle, I love you very much...and it doesn't hurt that you bring me presents, keep me stylish, and don't mind me grabbing at your pretty hair, or your phone....or your hands.... I love you because we have so much fun when we're together! Happy Birthday Aunt Michelle!!! Love, Chloe ~ Kevin and Alison say Happy Birthday too :)

Peas!

On Friday, Chloe tried a vegetable for the first time and it was peas. These pictures show her progression of like to dislike: Ready for the peas First few bites, no problem By about the third bite, she was realizing something was a little different biting the spoon when it came to her mouth This look says "do I have to eat any more?" No more peas please! Chloe has liked the peas during her last few meals. In fact, she ate them for breakfast this morning with almost no complaints! I would sneak in a spoonful of peas in between the cereal bites and she just gulped them down! :)

Chloe Grace at 6 months

This big girl is 14 pounds, 14 ounces and 27.5 inches long. The doctor says there is nothing wrong with being tall and thin; I replied 'it's only a problem for her dad' :) Chloe is able to sit up on her own very well and likes to have plenty of toys surrounding her. Her favorite toys are her ring tower, her remote (an old one that I took the batteries out of), and her bug-loop teether. She likes to read books and her favorite has been the Tails book given to her by the only Aunt and Uncle she hasn't met! She gets excited when I pull out the Tails book and she isn't happy with reading it only one time through - she prefers three or more! She talks to herself, making the 'ba', 'ha', and vowel sounds. She laughs when she has her belly tickled and is starting to lean into us for hugs (or, I like to think that they are hugs). She eats 5 times a day and will start veggies soon. She is still sleeping like a champ! We love you Chloe! You bring so much...

Who Needs Toys?

Lately, Chloe has been finding joy in everyday items, while surrounded by her toys..... After her bath she was no longer interested in the duck, she'd rather have a bottle cap and the cup I use to rinse her hair: Who needs a play mat when you've found Mom's water bottle?: While I was getting the tray out for these fish fillets, Chloe decided she'd like to try them for dinner too: Tomorrow's post? Chloe at 6 months!!

Icicles

You know you're in a blizzard-like-February when the icicles are bigger than your baby: This one went to the top of the quilt - but holding a wiggly baby and a melting icicle wasn't very easy so the icicle met it's end and Chloe looks a little shocked! :) (oh, and she was about to get in the bath.... don't worry, I won't make holding frozen objects next to her a regular habit!)

A New Book

Chloe received a book in the mail from her grandparents ~ each page is read to her by them! That's right, it's a recordable book and every time the page turns she hears their voices! Check out how Chloe reacted: That's right! A little confusion at first, mostly because all other books are read by us, but then she loved it! :) It's now among her favorites!

Cousins

Chloe and Grace visited together last week before the snow came. They had fun playing together, although these pictures seem like they were serious the whole time! Chloe showed Grace how to work the rings: And Grace showed Chloe how to work the piggy bank: Chloe caught on quickly :) Thank you Mommom for having us over!

Lots of Snow

Chloe looked like Randy from The Christmas Story movie ~ she had four layers on plus the snowsuit, so she couldn't really move. We had to drag her out for the biggest snowfall since Kevin moved out here! Take a look:

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

Penguin

I was trying to get a good picture of Chloe in her penguin hat this morning.....The first one is my best shot - all the others are "out-takes"...but still fun! :)
