Fall Fun!

We tried a new pumpkin patch this year (since we had to miss our annual trick-or-treat with cousins) and it was a fun day!

We did the corn maze and I was thankful for my husband's good sense of direction!

There was a candy-cannon that blasted 60 pounds of candy.

There were also pig-races which was hysterical! While the announcer was getting the squeal-leaders ready (Peter held the yellow flag!), he was telling jokes. The first one "What do you get when you cross a pig and a millipede" April knew the answer and shouted it out!  "Bacon and legs!"....and the announcer seemed shocked that someone knew the correct answer! haha - she reads her joke books a lot :)

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

My brother-in-law raises turkeys, and we had one on Thanksgiving this year! It was a 31 pound turkey and took up a lot of space in my refrigerator for a few days before the holiday. I started the cooking process early so it was done by lunchtime.  Here is the turkey, barely fitting into my oven!  "the farmer and the chef" :)
