Beach Part 2

Each day we spent part of the time at the beach, and the other part of the time at the pool.  During our time at the beach, we were doing lots of things!! Searching for shells, looking at the small muscles that dig back down into the sand, watching crabs pop out of the sand and run for the water....building sandcastles, re-applying sunscreen, boogie boarding.....watching dolphins! enjoying the shade of our umbrella, digging in the sand, and emptying the snack cooler :)

I kept the pictures "zoomed out" so you could see how great the waves were, and how few people were there! It was a wonderful time on the beach....but Peter didn't love it as much as the rest of us did.  By the end of the week he went out - with Daddy - and bobbed in the water, but mostly he just stayed in the sand.  Aunt Laura got him to come out with Brooke in the 'bubbles' and he liked that too.  Not much time in the ocean for Peter, but he still had a blast in the sand!

Spring has sprung?

This week has brought some strange weather! On Saturday, it was freezing while we watched Peter's baseball game - it was the "late night, under the lights" 8:00 pm game. and my toes were numb when the game was over. Then, Sunday was beautiful weather to watch soccer! April scored TWO goals in her game! We had a silent-auction at a church lunch on Sunday to raise money for the Youth Group Missions Trip. Peter bid on a cooler full of interesting flavored soda-pop....and he won! The first one he tried? Pickle Pop.  For a few years, our neighborhood has been the area of choice for a few mallard ducks to nest. The momma duck picked my neighbors' driveway this year...it seems like Spring must be coming if there are eggs!

Crazy May

As is typical with three active kids, we've had a busy last few weeks! Photos coming soon of the dance recital, Peter's birthday party, school activities and more :)  Here is our May started: No power for 5 days! A wind-storm went through our area and several power lines were knocked over. We did have school for 3 days. The weather was perfectly sunny and 70 degrees, so it wasn't too bad :)

Mexico 2025 ;)

After a year of not blogging, I'm making this post as an attempt to restart :)  We went on a family vacation back in February that was wonderful. It was a good time of year to travel and the picture above is from the first day. We got to the resort at lunchtime, threw on the swimsuits, and then had a dinner reservation at 6! So it was a jam-packed day but everyone was thrilled! We enjoyed time at the pool, the kids grew more confident in speaking Spanish and ordering drinks, and each night was a great dinner & ice cream at the little coffee shop :) Everyone has said they would go back :)  Maybe some day!
