Family Fun

Last Wednesday we drove to Idlewild for a day of fun!

We started at "Storybook Forest" which has many different nursery-rhyme-set-ups and the girls had a lot of fun! So did Peter, as you'll see in the next few pictures :)

We came across Geppetto, who was making Pinocchio dance.....so Peter joined in:

We also saw Peter's pumpkin....this sign made our Peter sad ;)

It was Chloe's birthday -- had to stand next to her new number! :)

Who doesn't love a giant ball pit?

In line for the wooden roller coaster:

but the carousel was more April's style (she rode it 6 times while we were there!!)

There is a water park in Idlewild, which we did, but I didn't take any pictures.  Here we are on the way to find some dinner.....stopping to "fish" was a must:

and they won a prize!

Mawna with her "pineapples"

We basically closed the park! Peter was the best baby ever, the girls were having such a fun time.  We were in kiddy-land for the last ride on the airplanes before it was closed. Then we ran over to the regular park and got to do the Wild Mouse (a roller coaster) with the birthday girl.

Then, it was to the van to change into pajamas and ride back home!

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
