Trick or Treat!

Did you think I wouldn't post about our trip?  Here's what Peter thinks of that:

What did we do when we got to Uncle Bill and Aunt Laura's?  Played in the leaves, of course. :)

Saturday morning we started early....these two liked visiting at the breakfast table....

After a trip to a local park, we met up with everyone at the pumpkin patch.  Connor and Chloe both thought it was a little too bright on this bench for pictures....

ha! Then, all the kids just had to get their picture taken by this statue.....so they posed really nicely:

Forget posing for pictures, lets get on with the fun!  First, the petting zoo area....April showed no fear.

Then, the Big Slide.

Peter didn't seem to mind that he was too little to ride.  He got to hang with Aunt Chelle!!

Two Brave Kiddos rode all by themselves!

Strong Pap did a feats-of-strength....

Then Tom showed everyone what's what by doing it with one arm!

While this was happening, Connor was being pulled from the hay bales by Strong Mawna :)

Pedal cars were next.  Chloe was able to make her's go all by herself.  Granted, she wasn't fast, but she did go all the way around a few times!

While we waited for lunch, face painting was a big hit -- this is the first time Chloe and April have had their faces painted.  April was quick to pick a purple fish.  Chloe was thoughtful about her choice and chose the pumpkin with the swirly vines.

Attempt a group photo? Sure.  This is the worst.  I'll probably print the best for the kind grandparents who put up with our attempt.

After naps, the exhausted parents changed their cute kids into costumes for Trick or Treat. Check out the great costumes -- April is Rapunzel, Connor is Curious George, Chloe is a ballerina.

Peter went as Mickey Mouse! He seemed pretty good about it, until we wanted to take his picture with Minnie....

then we got this blank stare....for 18 pictures.....

Peter is still making the blank expression, but the three in the middle have plenty of personality :)

Sunday morning the babies visited a little more before heading to church -- look, they are holding hands!

Chelle and Tom hosted us for lunch and we were on our way back home.  So fast, but SO fun :)

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
