Reading Adventure Day!

Chloe's Preschool has a Reading Adventure Day where the classroom is decorated (really, really decorated) to look like scenes from a book.  This year, the room was transformed into a rainforest.  The children help paint animals, greenery, and other decorations along the way - each room was covered and changed into different things!!  They also paint a self-portrait and make a page about themselves.

Family members are allowed to go in the evening to check out the school and projects.  We also got to see the butterflies and chicks that have hatched in the last few weeks.

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

My brother-in-law raises turkeys, and we had one on Thanksgiving this year! It was a 31 pound turkey and took up a lot of space in my refrigerator for a few days before the holiday. I started the cooking process early so it was done by lunchtime.  Here is the turkey, barely fitting into my oven!  "the farmer and the chef" :)
