Two Weekends Ago

I try to keep up to date with pictures, but last week was crazy ...so this post didn't get done....but now I've got a little time since the snow canceled Bible Study this morning!

Here is what we were up to 2 weekends ago:

We visited Mimi and Poppop!  My cousin Alissa was having her Baby Shower nearby, so it was a good excuse to go for the weekend.  Although we got to see them at Matt's wedding, Chloe and April haven't seen their great-grandparents since Christmas!

What was the first thing we did? Eat ice-cream :)

The shower was on Saturday & my sister Laura drove up to be there too.  We had fun getting lost in a town that is three blocks long, but made it and had a great time!

Why stop the fun when we got home?  On Sunday night we had a pizza party with my parents & sister and brother-in-law.  They had been at a wedding in Ohio and were driving through to get home.

It was fun to see them....The girls put on their "dancer girl" outfits....to tickle Uncle Tom:

and try on Aunt Michelle's shoes:

They did dance for us too -- and I managed to get a photo of these three, where Chloe and Tom were looking at the camera....

and then April and Tom were looking at the camera.

Our girls were pretty tired & excited....so it was a visit filled with lots of laughter....but also a little crazy thrown in :) Not really sure what Chloe was trying to do to me here ;)

This past weekend was just the opposite - hardly anything going on and really relaxing :)

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

My brother-in-law raises turkeys, and we had one on Thanksgiving this year! It was a 31 pound turkey and took up a lot of space in my refrigerator for a few days before the holiday. I started the cooking process early so it was done by lunchtime.  Here is the turkey, barely fitting into my oven!  "the farmer and the chef" :)
