Birthday Weekend

Wow! What a weekend!!It started when Mimi and Poppop got to town on Thursday afternoon.  We took them and the girls to the mall on Friday to get some energy out....and April did the slide all by herself! :)

Here she goes:

She also discovered the tunnels....

Friday night, my cousin's family came over to give April her present since they could not come to the party....and we got this cute picture of Grace and Chloe:

and then Saturday was party day!!

We had a house-full of guests (because it was snowing! no chance of going outside...) but I think everyone had a great time.  April loved the singing, and had no problem with her cupcake:

neither did this girl:

Aunt Laura and Connor came all the way to celebrate April :)  Connor had a pretty good time!!

After lunch & cupcakes, it was time for presents!

April got so many nice things & cute clothes for the summer!  She'll be the style icon of the church nursery :)

The rest of Saturday was spent playing with Grandma and Grandpa:

What a weekend!  Tonight I take April to the doctor's for her one year check up.  I'll be posting her stats and what she's up to at 12 months this week!! :)

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

My brother-in-law raises turkeys, and we had one on Thanksgiving this year! It was a 31 pound turkey and took up a lot of space in my refrigerator for a few days before the holiday. I started the cooking process early so it was done by lunchtime.  Here is the turkey, barely fitting into my oven!  "the farmer and the chef" :)
