Trip with the Girls

Last week, I took the girls on a trip....to see Connor! :) Who wouldn't want to spend 5 hours in the car/rest stops with a 2 1/2 year old and baby to see this sweet face? :)

Everyone was excited to get out of the car and start playing when we got there. Connor was such a nice boy to Chloe and April. He shared all his great toys, let us come to his swim-night and music class, and had his Mom serve us great food :)

See this 'guy' next to April? She loved him! "Steel-y" is the name of her new friend and she spent some time 'talking' with him each day....she might have thought he was a dog....

We also spent a lot of time looking out the windows (love those low windows at Bill and Laura's!):

Over three days, these three had a great time together :) The weather was so nice that we got to play outside and take a few walks. Chloe got to go get ice-cream with Aunt Laura too!

Even Schnookums gets the royal treatment at Aunt Laura's :)

I asked Chloe what her favorite part about our trip was and she said "feeding fish!". That's right, the job that takes approximately 3 seconds a day was her highlight :) Maybe there is a goldfish in our future :)

Cousins for life! :)

The second leg of our trip was a stop in at Mimi and Poppop's to visit with Noah and Charity while they were in town. April and Charity chatted over lunch:

and Chloe shared some lolly-pops with Noah :)

Another cutie! The drive home didn't seem so bad after spending time with these nice boys!
Thank you Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, Mimi, & Poppop for letting us stay! We had a wonderful time!

Camping Trips #2 and #3

At the beginning of August, we went on a camping trip with my immediate family. We had great campsites, right next to each other, and had fabulous weather. Chloe had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Michelle: She also loved my dad's cell phone ringtone: Who says you can't eat great food while you're camping? Check out our dinner feast on Saturday night....Corn on the cob, cheeseburgers, grilled pineapple: Chloe had her first taste of the "beach" when we went to the lake one day. It was the first time she was in the sand, and I think she really liked it! When looking back at the camping pictures, I realized that Chloe wore a lot of hats on this trip: We got back from a Cousins Camping Trip on Sunday night. (Almost) All my cousins got together for the weekend and we had a great time. Another camping trip with good campsites and this time we just had okay weather. It rained Saturday night so everything was a bit soggy on Sunday ...

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
