36 Weeks

As of last Thursday I am at 36 weeks (which means 37 tomorrow!). Only one more picture to take!!

At my doctor's appointment last week he informed me that if I went into labor, they would not stop me and that I was 28 days away from my due date. I told him I had a lot more things to do before 28 days were up! I've been busy working on my list of "to-dos" and I'm feeling better about her coming. I've got her things packed up for the hospital and I'm working on gathering my things too. It could be another month before we meet her, but I want to be ready just in case she comes early! With Chloe in the mix this time, I'm thankful to use nap-times as a chance to get ready :)

This baby might be more active than Chloe was at this point ~ she moves and kicks more than I think she should be able to! Here is what babycenter.com says about 36 weeks:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath.

Baby Poll coming soon! :)

You look FABULOUS, Alison! I felt like my girls more active than the one before...but in my case, I think they just had less and less ab resistance!
Enjoy your last bit of pregnancy. =)

Spring has sprung?

This week has brought some strange weather! On Saturday, it was freezing while we watched Peter's baseball game - it was the "late night, under the lights" 8:00 pm game. and my toes were numb when the game was over. Then, Sunday was beautiful weather to watch soccer! April scored TWO goals in her game! We had a silent-auction at a church lunch on Sunday to raise money for the Youth Group Missions Trip. Peter bid on a cooler full of interesting flavored soda-pop....and he won! The first one he tried? Pickle Pop.  For a few years, our neighborhood has been the area of choice for a few mallard ducks to nest. The momma duck picked my neighbors' driveway this year...it seems like Spring must be coming if there are eggs!

Crazy May

As is typical with three active kids, we've had a busy last few weeks! Photos coming soon of the dance recital, Peter's birthday party, school activities and more :)  Here is our May started: No power for 5 days! A wind-storm went through our area and several power lines were knocked over. We did have school for 3 days. The weather was perfectly sunny and 70 degrees, so it wasn't too bad :)

Mexico 2025 ;)

After a year of not blogging, I'm making this post as an attempt to restart :)  We went on a family vacation back in February that was wonderful. It was a good time of year to travel and the picture above is from the first day. We got to the resort at lunchtime, threw on the swimsuits, and then had a dinner reservation at 6! So it was a jam-packed day but everyone was thrilled! We enjoyed time at the pool, the kids grew more confident in speaking Spanish and ordering drinks, and each night was a great dinner & ice cream at the little coffee shop :) Everyone has said they would go back :)  Maybe some day!
