Chloe at 10 months

Baby Chloe is getting closer and closer to being Toddler Chloe. She likes to be on the move - either in the stroller, 'walking' with someone, rolling, scooting....It's getting harder to get a good picture of her ~ but usually I can get a good one eventually :)

She is curious about new people and places ~ usually giving new faces a very serious look before flashing a smile and waving hello. She charms people everywhere we go ~ I think it's made me more friendly too! :)

Chloe loves to be outside watching cars go by, pointing at birds, waving to anything that moves. She likes the grass now and tries to pluck blades out of the ground. She also likes to dig around in the dirt for rocks, and we're learning (slowly) that rocks are not for eating.

She has a stubborn streak but is still sensitive to a stern "no". We've come a long way in high-chair manners and not eating books :) She claps when she really likes something or when we clap for her. She will voluntarily kiss her baby dolls but only Mom and Dad occasionally.

We're still waiting for her teeth to poke through her gums; I'm loving her toothless grin though :) She started drinking formula at dinner time this month and gulps it down with no problems! She continues to love peas, but has discovered a love for carbs - bread and tortilla in particular.

We love you Chloe! You are a delight!!

More Bloopers

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
