Chloe at 7 months

Chloe Grace is learning more and more each day. She sleeps from 8pm to 8am and eats four times a day ~ she's tried peas, sweet potatoes, bananas (not a favorite!), peaches, prunes, and blueberries. She likes to sit and play with a basket of toys; favorites include her 'purse', the stack of rings, the bug loop, and her remote. She also likes to stand in her walker and is learning how to stand while holding onto something. She doesn't quite understand that when she lets go, she's going to fall over! Books are another favorite ~ Chloe doesn't like it when story-time is over. Current favorite books are: Hungry Caterpillar, How Much I Love You, and Tails (of course).

She gives her dad big smiles when he comes home and still loves his guitar playing. Chloe likes when we sing to her and she thinks that high-fives are really funny.

She seems to be enjoying the outdoors - during our walks at the park she sits happily in the stroller watching the world go by. These pictures are from yesterday while we were sitting in our backyard. I love it when she wears hats and this hat is probably my favorite so far ~ I think because of the strap :)

She is SO cute! Keep up the great work, Mom. :) That hat with the strap would be my favorite too. It makes those cheeks look so adorable and irresistible. Perfect for kisses, which I'm sure she gets a million a day. Have a great week!

Camping Trips #2 and #3

At the beginning of August, we went on a camping trip with my immediate family. We had great campsites, right next to each other, and had fabulous weather. Chloe had a great time hanging out with her Aunt Laura, Uncle Bill, and Aunt Michelle: She also loved my dad's cell phone ringtone: Who says you can't eat great food while you're camping? Check out our dinner feast on Saturday night....Corn on the cob, cheeseburgers, grilled pineapple: Chloe had her first taste of the "beach" when we went to the lake one day. It was the first time she was in the sand, and I think she really liked it! When looking back at the camping pictures, I realized that Chloe wore a lot of hats on this trip: We got back from a Cousins Camping Trip on Sunday night. (Almost) All my cousins got together for the weekend and we had a great time. Another camping trip with good campsites and this time we just had okay weather. It rained Saturday night so everything was a bit soggy on Sunday ...

34 Weeks

34 weeks and my belly button has popped out :)  haha!  I'm still feeling a lot of movement and today my doctor said everything was great.  Here's some info on our "Baby Brother", as I refer to this little guy with Chloe and April: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds ( about the size of a cantaloupe ) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor , you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
