Chloe Grace at 6 months

This big girl is 14 pounds, 14 ounces and 27.5 inches long. The doctor says there is nothing wrong with being tall and thin; I replied 'it's only a problem for her dad' :)

Chloe is able to sit up on her own very well and likes to have plenty of toys surrounding her. Her favorite toys are her ring tower, her remote (an old one that I took the batteries out of), and her bug-loop teether. She likes to read books and her favorite has been the Tails book given to her by the only Aunt and Uncle she hasn't met! She gets excited when I pull out the Tails book and she isn't happy with reading it only one time through - she prefers three or more!

She talks to herself, making the 'ba', 'ha', and vowel sounds. She laughs when she has her belly tickled and is starting to lean into us for hugs (or, I like to think that they are hugs). She eats 5 times a day and will start veggies soon. She is still sleeping like a champ!

We love you Chloe! You bring so much joy to each day!

She's only 7.5 lbs. behind Leah:)

I think we need to do our camping trip sooner than later before she grows up too much more....we miss you all! Besides, you want to camp before she starts wanting to walk around in the mud, right?!

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
