The end of 2009....and Beginning of 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. We spent time with each side of the family...in picture form, here is what we did:

Chloe says she's ready to go to Mimi and Poppop's!:

We visited with Kevin's dad's side of the family, and we got to meet the newest member Noah:

We got all dressed up and went to the Christmas Eve service....

On Christmas morning, Chloe opened some presents that I had brought with us...She really liked the wrapping paper, but seems a little stunned in this photo:

Chloe got a shirt from her friend Kira and wore it on Christmas Day:
We had so much good food and played a lot of cards and other games. We got this 4 Generation photo right before we left:

We drove back home and went straight to celebrate with Alison's dad's side of the family. On Sunday after church we had Alison's mom's side over to celebrate. Chloe opened more gifts and played with more wrapping paper....but she also loved one gift in particular...the rings from Grandma and Grandpa:

A project that took over our house during the month of December were blankets for my sisters. Here is Laura with hers:

For the New Year, we went to Kevin's parents house and had more presents to open. Chloe, again, was loving the wrapping paper:

She was also loving her Grandma. These two are buddies, especially after Chloe got to spend the afternoon with her while the rest of us went to see Avatar.

Chloe saw her first trains ~ her Grandpa's display, and another display ~ and liked watching them go by.

Chloe got to meet Kevin's cousins on his mom's side and really liked them both!

We are now back at home....and Chloe might be a little bored with only me to hang out with. We're slowly getting back into a routine and I've found that Chloe likes to watch the snowflakes fall from the sky. What a great baby :)

She won't be bored - she has a wedding she has to help plan, remember?

I felt the same way after the excitement of Christmas...Emmalyn is going to be so bored with just me to play with.
Chloe is getting so big...I love all the pics with her gumming the rings! That'll be her for the next 6 months;o)

These pictures just make me laugh ~ especially the last two. I have a feeling that Aunt Laura, in particular, will think those last two are funny also. :)

A dear friend

I'm leading the study tomorrow at my Bible Study. We're reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan and the chapter I'm in 'charge of' of real life examples of people who are living completely for Christ. I've come up with an example from my own life to talk about and I thought I'd let my blog readers in on what I'm going to share tomorrow. Enjoy! I met Mrs. Hohman on a hot July afternoon after mistakenly knocking on her neighbor’s door. I stood on her front porch with my mom, nervously waiting to meet the woman I planned on living with for my first year at Grove City . I felt like I was towering over her short frame as she showed me the 3 rd floor and barked the rules of “no swearing, no smoking, no boys”. I handed over my rent check and moved to her house in late August. September came and a fellow freshman had a mental breakdown and her bed was now available to me…… So, after 3 weeks of living with Mrs. Hohman I moved out....
