Vacation!

We got to take a vacation to Deep Creek and enjoy creation and time with Alison's family. We had themed dinner nights which was a ton of fun  Black and White was "Chickfila Night" Neon was "90's Night" and we had personal pan pizzas :) Tropical night was "Luau Night" and we had wi-ki-ki meatballs! We got to spend time hiking, on the water, near the water, and in the water. :)  We also got to visit a Lavendar farm and everyone went to play mini-golf one night: After all that, we weren't tired enough, so we took a detour on the way home. Do you recognize this famous home?

Rainy Days of Summer

When it's rainy, we play games and pull out the art supplies. It's been warm, but when we did have a few rainy days in a row, I remembered to take some pictures! This is glue, covered in salt, then watercolored. It turned out pretty well.  Peter will always agree to play a game! He and I got the chance to play some longer-games while the girls were at a dance-camp.

A Family Reunion

Kevin's dad's side of the family got together over the weekend. We went out Friday and came back on Sunday, and we packed a whole lot of fun into that short amount of time! Here we are, about halfway there. Our kids have always done well in the car, and as they get older it's remaining true! We didn't have an audio book this time, but we managed to stay pleasant ;) Saturday morning brought a ping-pong tournament & most participated!  After it stopped raining, we dragged everyone outside for a photo. I only have a few of the ones with Mimi and all her great-grandchildren. We took a whole group photo as well! After church & lunch on Sunday we made our return trek, but not before this sweet moment: my baby, holding a baby :)  So sweet!!

VBS

We had a great week at Vacation Bible School. I help run the camp, Chloe and April helped, and Peter was a camper!  Chloe and April helped with squads, but also sang with the band every morning.  On Wednesday, we had Water Day. The sun came out occasionally, and the highlight was the fire truck hose spraying!  We set-up a giant water slide. I get to take pictures of my kids all week :) Here is Peter zooming down: This is April: On Wednesday after camp, I took the kids to dinner & ice cream. They were my best helpers and liked getting a treat :) On Thursday afternoon, the camp goes to a trampoline park. Again, perks of working at the camp means pictures :)

What?! A post?!

Hi. It's been a while. I thought I'd check and see if anyone is still checking this... An update: We are still in the same place with the same kiddos. They are just getting older (but not Kevin and I!) and more active, so it's harder to blog - but I'm willing if people are viewing! :) Here are some recent photos: Church membership for all three of our kids was a special Sunday: May the Fourth: Mother's Day :) Dance Recital! Birthday...already 9 years old!

Snow & Reunion!

Lots of snow so far this winter! It's been fun to have a white wonderland outside :) My cousin has a giant hill in her backyard and we went to sled after the first big snow. My dad's side of the family got together over the weekend. There was a big hill to sled down & this was before the countdown when everyone went at the same time! These are the people who married into the family.... and are now stuck with us ;)

Farewell to 2021

We had an interesting end to 2021! We had a quiet Christmas with Chloe having covid. We didn't separate from her or anything but kept ourselves at home. Eventually we got to see most everyone we would have seen on the 25th and are planning a visit to see Kevin's side of the family soon! Even if it was quiet, we had a lot of fun! Enjoy the photos :)
