Ice Ice...Baby

Here is a way to keep cool on a HOT day.... Ice in a cup! and here's the baby :) (I think she's raising her hand for "more ice please")

Hair Cut!

Before April was born, my hair was pretty long (for me!).... After April was born, most of the time my hair looked like this: So, over the weekend I got my hair cut! It's nice to have short hair again! **This post is really to encourage my friend Heather to post pictures of her new hair cut :)

Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

April, Kevin, and I went to the baseball game on Saturday night! We think April had a good time ~ she sat with us the whole time very happily and the couple sitting next to us thought she was just a doll-baby :) You can see who she and Kevin were rooting for: Love when the little girl smiles at Daddy :) (unfortunately, their team lost....which means my team won :) go Pirates!)

Summertime....

...and the livin' is easy.... Here are some recent pictures of our normal days at home. Life is fun with two girls :) Dancing to Dad's cellphone ring-tone before church: "Drawing Bob" - if you ask Chloe what she's drawing, the answer most of the time is "Bob"....referring to Bob the Tomato from Veggie Tales.... Playing with Dad! Playdough which Chloe still remembers is from Uncle Bill :) April got to play with us for the first time last week: Reading books: and just hanging out: Posing for the camera, which is rare - so many pictures of Chloe are blurry these days!!

Weekend Fun

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend - Kevin got to golf twice, we had a lot of family-of-four time, and visited with some friends! We were happy to hang out with Miss Natalie, Mr Dallas, and both sets of their parents for a cookout: Here are Bill and Doreen (faithful blog readers!) visiting with April. We were happy to introduce them to her! Chloe enjoyed visiting, but she also enjoyed playing ... :) On Monday, we had some friends from church over. After dinner, we got out the hose for some "sprinkler" fun. At first, Chloe was not too sure about the whole thing: But after her friend proved to her that it was actually a lot of fun.... ...Chloe had a change of heart: and she helped Dad water the garden too. Hope you had a fun weekend too!!

April at One Month

I waited to do this post because our doctor appointment for April was moved to today, so she's technically 5 weeks....but that's okay! April Hope is now 9 pounds, 3 ounces...exactly one pound heavier than her birth weight...and 22 inches long. (For those who are interested, Chloe was 9lbs. 4oz & 22in. at one month) She started sleeping through the night (eating for the last time around 10:00pm and waking up between 6:30 and 7 am) on May 25th - her one month 'birthday'. Mom was a-okay with that! :) April is a very content baby most of the time....Once she gets hungry, everyone knows it! She goes from quiet to very loud quickly!! She is bringing us lots of joy ~ and Chloe is still loving "Eigh-tol" (the phonetic spelling of her version of "April"). We are thankful that the sisters are getting along!! We can't wait to see April continue to grow! :)

Outside!!

We have been spending a lot of time outside recently because the sun isn't hiding behind rain clouds anymore (although, it might be raining while I type this!)... Last weekend we went to my parents for a cook-out to visit with Laura and Bill while they were in town for a very short while. Chloe had almost everyone there outside in the grass: Aunt Laura (or as Chloe says "Lawa Lawa Lawa"....who never gets a minute of rest when Chloe is around...It's like her mom, but nicer ;) This was the first time that it seemed like Chloe realized we looked the same! She called me Lawa a few times....) Ring-around-a-rosie...or Motorboat....not sure which one with Grandma ("Na-Ma"), Mom, and Aunt Laura Headstands with Daddy and Aunt Laura....(Grandpap did one too!!) Pap Mommom B. Uncle Bill (or "Buh") This cutie was also in attendance, but didn't play in the grass. Instead, she enjoyed the shade with Grandma, Great-Grandmas and friends :)
